Lost 10-31-15 at Wildman Farm Launch
« on: October 31, 2015, 08:00:57 PM »

Had a great day launching rockets, but nothing went my way. First one had a motor ejection; got that one back in pieces. Second one went up and up and up and no one ever saw it come down. So if anyone happens across a 4" - 10 ft Rocketry Warehouse rocket all decked out with StickerShock words "I Need My Space" on the side let me know. I looked up by the land owner's house and across the road in fields till 5pm with no luck. Thanks for your help Ted Oldiges / text or call (937) 638-7164

Received the call last week - someone found the rocket. It was found last Saturday by Rickie on Buena Vista Road, about 1.5 mile away. He was looking for his grill cover in the field behind his house and stumbled upon the rocket. Soon after, he contacted me and I went and picked it up today. Everything deployed properly and the rocket was perfect, not a mark on it. Altitude beeped out at 9117ft. Thank goodness I had my contact information on the rocket. I offered Rickie money but would not accept. Hope to launch at the next launch!

Ted,

Glad you found it or rather someone found it for you and it was OK.  We were wondering if you had recovered it at the last launch.  Apparently you had not yet.

I am going over all my rockets and making sure my contact info is in there.  Just in Case.

Trackers are your friend. ;)

Ted,

Glad you had that beauty back! There are a number of us that have RDF trackers, GPS unit, etc and have no issues in lending them out. If you purchase Rocket Hunter transmitters, Steve Temple and I both have receivers and can help you track.
